yureum is the cousin at family gathering who's known as the "linguistic genius". she's the cousin you call when documents need to be translated or the street vendor in a foreign country is yelling at you. initially hated as a young child for being so talkative, she has turned that into her career as an interpreter. she was essentially raised in a library, growing up in her maternal grandfather’s house surrounded by antique books and dusty memories.     as she starts her career, freshly graduating college, she realizes she struggles to translate the words unsaid.     she currently is completing side quests, working at part time jobs as she studies for more certifications. 2003. she's the friend who would spend hours debating the nuances of a single translated lyric in a group chat and how there's a deeper meaning, how the singer is deeply in love with a rumored person, only to realize the singer isn't even the writer of the song. she's the friend you'd study with but end up spilling an entire 8,000KRW drink on her favorite collection of sticky notes the moment she enters the silent library. she can understand most languages or make sense of the vocabulary quickly but she's the friend who stresses out about an extra period or lack of emojis in text messages. ultimately, she's a pure hearted sheep with soft wool who dreams and hopes to visit you in her dreams.
